#345 happy easter

the long awaited weekend is once again down to the last day now..

Happy Easter Sunday though, everyone! it's a day to praise the Lord, and yet another occasion to celebrate. today is the day that Jesus rose from the dead, and it is an absolute miracle. during service today, i learnt that the 7-day week (Sunday-Saturday) that we are using now is actually from how the Jews worshipped God! every 7 days, the believers would gather and the non believers were so bewildered by how they knew when to gather.

but i was feeling really sleepy during service so i've kind of forgot the rest of it..

Good Friday's here. hope that everyone will have a great one. but every week is a Good Friday for me hehe, so there's not much of a difference to me but i guess it's a big deal to many! i want my Easter eggs though.. sigh haven't gotten my mini eggs yet.

this week hasn't been very good at all.. and it's not gonna be good until the end of week-freaking-TWELVE cos my marketing presentation is gonna be then.

week 11- BizOps quiz, submission of BizOps project
week 12- stats quiz, marketing presentation

and then it will be the freaking LAST week of school term already WHAT IS THIS OMG where the hell am i even going to find time to study for my finals? :'( i already can foresee how dead i'll be.

but in the short run for now, steamboat brunch at Bon's tomorrow hehe. YAY. easties for the win (with Alex and Kenn traveling down from Yishun and To a Payoh respectively) whoo! hopefully the food that Bon bought will be good^^ i can wake at 11 to go over to his house teehee, and reach at 1130.

these 2 days we have been playing this game that is something like Tap Tap, on Bella's (BaoYi) iPad hehe. like fun only~

okay, time to finally get started on my BizOps project!!

Hall Birthday DOWN!

whoop, it was a good event, maybe one of the best to date in our social portfolio life :) felt so great after the event because everything went on so smoothly!

really thankful towards everyone who contributed in one way or another, and contributed to the event's success!

yesterday's event went so well because everyone was so cooperative! i need to thank a lot of the JCRC members who helped us out too :)

videos of the JCRC members thanking the subcommers were.. a tad embarrassing. lorraine and I went to hide out in the pub room while our vid was played HAHAHA.

eating competition went better than expected, cos i was afraid that the turn-out will be bad and responses from residents will be cold.. but they were so whole-hearted and the competition really heated up hahaha. some of them just stuffed the food into their mouths!! we had waffles as one of the dishes, and 2 of them folded the waffle into eighths to stuff the entire thing into their mouth but couldn't swallow hehehe! 

and then the big birthday cake for Hall 10's 19th birthday finally appears!! 2-tiered big red velvet cake that Clarissa designed and ordered for us :) no photo now but i posted it on my Instagram HERE heh. 

Lorraine printed subcomm photos and i made honey joys to give to our subcommers after the event hehe yay. photos of my honey joys are on insta tooooo ;)

this is a process that every single being has to pass through unless you have the Philosopher's Stone. if not, suck it up.

my grandfather has just passed on last night in his sleep. it might be a good thing though, he didn't suffer for a long time because he refused to go to the hospital for any treatments and such. thus no prolonging of life device was attached to him.. i hope that he's in peace after passing on now :)

i'm not too sure what to feel now.

life is so hectic every single week,and after finals it will be a different thing altogether because i need to get a job!!

anyway. i really like talking to you.

#341 shag week

this week was a shag week. 2 more shag weeks to come and then it will be finals already! SO FAST.

after marketing report/OB was done on monday, there was CAEN! and lorraine won a Sony camera she was damn lucky seriously!! the Hall 11 President read out Yi Jie's ticket number initially but it turned out to be one number after.. and Yi Jie already went on stage :X

stage manager's job belonged to Joshua K, Lorraine, Andrea, Kelvin and I on that day.. so shag! hahaha. but it reminded me of Functions in AHS.. hehe. and we couldn't have pulled it off if not for Sky! confirm fail without him, cos i don't know anything about the mics and sound system stuff..

at 1AM after CAEN, Jian Hui cooked supper for us!! 20 packets of Tom Yum maggi, cheese tofus, and it was so good!! :) so nice of him!

there was freshmen tea, and subcomm photoshoot during this week too! photoshoot was pretty funny, we wasted a lot of time just doing random shiz hehe.

finally made my way back this morning.. but only reached home at 2! had brunch at Ya Kun with Wilson and Marcus while waiting for cheryl to come back from WKW (double u k double u HAHAHA)

it's the weekend again but there's shitloads of things to be done.. sigh. really cannot wait for everything to be over!!!!

#340 all about food.

dinner date at Megumi with Nick from a while back; it was a place which we stumbled upon along Siglap and we headed to try it! decent Japanese food at alright prices! not too exorbitant but i wish i was a little richer so that i could try the buttered scallops with mushrooms :( that alone itself was about $15/16 already..

Salmon kaminabe, the soup was the non-MSG kind i think. it tasted pretty bland at first but as the soup boiled on, it tasted better so i think it was the ingredients that flavored the soup :) salmon was fresh and thus didn't have the awful fishy smell which i detest. this was $13.80, and enough for two to share :)

Agedashi tofu, me likey :) this was pretty decent, though i've had better (but forgot from where.. Sakae/Ajisen?) as they come, this was about $5.90 i think. not very cheap but normal priced i guess.

softshell crab!! :) super love this, and they gave about 3 crabs for $9.90! we were deciding between the salad and just the crab itself and ended up having this.. no regrets. it wasn't too oily and the crab tasted fresh. batter was nice and fried to perfection imo!

grilled salmon sushi. this was something new that i haven't seen before! spotted by Nick on the menu, and he clamored to try it so i agreed hehe. it didn't really taste grilled but a little bit sweet when the top part was placed on my tongue? we had it pretty long after it was served but it still tasted fresh :) $5.90 for two!

garlic rice, which i saw that was a must-try on reviews. it was okay i guess, and $7.90 for a portion big enough for 2 to share! but then again, we ordered everything with the intention to share so i guess it's enough if you aren't tooooo hungry/have a small appetite.

we spent about $25/pax after taxes. doesn't sound very cheap but for the quality of the food, it's a decent price to pay :)

and i've seen through this bunch of people. with their fake smiles and big talks, they are of no help when it is needed at the most crucial point. support, help? what support? what help? you guys come at me, 4 against 1, but when it comes to helping when i/others need it, you guys shun away. it's appalling that you guys do it so blatantly, without even bothering to come up with an excuse.

i can't do anything about it, honestly. am at a very very weak position right now so all i can do is.. nothing.

today was spent at home, and the entire day flew past me. couldn't even finish one tutorial because i really didn't know how to do it.. i can't wait for all these shit to be over so that i can fly to bkk to shop/play/chill with a bunch of wonderful people :) and also, i really need to get a job! my bank account will be so empty after the trip, sigh.

#338 short update

at home on a Thursday night once again, me likey! :)

but this weekend's gonna be little tougher with many things to settle.. following weeks are gonna be hell weeks sigh. wishing like crazy that 5th April will come by in a flash.

tired out like crazy over nothing cos i've not been getting good sleep in hall, i don't know why either. hopefully it's just this week! sigh.

shall sleep earlier tonight and get things done tomorrow otherwise i'm really screwed. goodnight!

#337 good times with loved ones

nick had to stay in for his duties ytd and cancelled a date with me, so i felt really sad cos i was supposed to meet him at night:( but luckily 2 of my best friends were up for a dinner date! told them i was so sad over nick staying in hehe. but immediately felt better when they were so onz.

had DTF and Awfully Chocolate whoop. it's always so good with them no matter what we do. missing the endless good times i had with them in AHS. we will never ever forget memorable bridging during Higher Chinese lessons :') hahaha. really miss them a lot and i hope that we can do something really awesome together after finals!

Hall Prod 2013 was today at the Arts House and many of us went down, after Lorraine persuaded them to go hahaha. Timbré was after that, and then Tamp JCo for 1-for-1 drinks :) could never ask for better hallies who are all so nice!

lots of eating everyday, how to not grow fatter?! sigh. can feel the weight piling onto my body already.. this is really bad.

sigh, recess week has ended already. weekend's not really counted cos in the first place it was kind of a given? oh no, back to reality soon with all the project deadlines and tests! this week has passed too quickly to have even been termed a recess week!! (what with all the project meetings.. sigh) hopefully everything would pass soooo quickly so that BKK will come soon! although we haven't booked it yet, in my mind it feels like we have hehe. now we have 10 people in total i think, so big a group! splitting when we shop is inevitable i guess :(

okay time to shower and start on some productive work! haven't been studying/doing anything productive in general this whole recess week oh nooooo.

i'm posting pretty regularly this week cos i'm more free than usual (?) hehe. just changed the layout of my blog! hope that it looks prettier now hehe. and there's my face on it now!

marketing meeting today was at Ikea, and i had a pretty decent lunch as well as ice cream+choco donuts whoop! fatty max but i really can't help myself.. feeling that i've been gaining weight recently already but i just can't stick to a diet. never did, never will.

wednesday of recess week is ending already oh dear.. i wish that the next four days will crawl by slowly, very veryyyy slowlyyyyyyy. am currently nursing a sudden runny nose and a bout of fatigue. don't even know why it suddenly hit me, but it could be due to the time of the month i guess. sigh. #girlproblems

#335 me-time

today's the only free day of my recess week, and it's gone already..

sigh.

2nd day of recess week and i feel like this whole week is over already. shall stop depressing myself with these thoughts and be relieved that i'm actually given a week to be at home instead of being stuck in an island, far away from home!

CBTL was my hangout place for today while i tried to figure stats out! to little avail, because i really didn't know how to do the tutorial.. oh and i just found out that there's a test during stats tutorial next week.. booooo math sucks. i'm getting the 'i hate math' feeling which i thought i could leave behind in JC:/

was happy with my salad and all-time fav fruit tea (i remember drinking this when i was young, i really loved it) though they burned a hole in my pocket when i was supposed to save. oh well, once in a very long while i suppose:)

recess, recess gotta get down to recess..

it's finally recess week! but it's going to be filled with projects and more projects.. this semester's mods are just going to be quite tough to get the marks.

morning was an early one with a trip down to Marymount to talk to Jessica's uncle with ze bizops group! so tired after that and now too, despite 2 naps :/ i'm really not a morning person.

had lunch and hair trim with Nick in the afternoon :))

met YJ tonight for dinner! she came to my house to watch Happy Fish show first hehe. she said that i'm the first hall person who's still watching tv haha. dinner was simple but it was a good catch up with her :)

gonna meet Euge and Ding tomorrow, 2 of my favorite people in the world^^

Alevels results was today, and i'm so proud of my juniors who did well. a few of them did reallyyyy well and i'm so happy :') but feeling a little nostalgic too, as one whole year has flew by since results till now.. good times pass so soon as the months of holiday passed really quickly and now it's already the second semester in NTU.

okay, i've planned out my recess week and hopefully it all goes accordingly..

and i'm still thinking about what i mentioned in the previous post, sigh :/
