#308 NBS dragonboat day

nah the title's that but i'm not gonna blog a whole lengthy post or anything. it was all really funny and hilarious though. Krypto and Streaky missed out on the race because we were busy catching fish as well as strategising on when to throw at the other boats. in the end all 3 shots failed HAHA. too funny already!

this whole week i've been sleeping past 3 every night! it's damn bad, i know. but bridge is simply too addictive! and tuesday night i slept at 5 for no reason at all. baoyi bon and i were just.. talking. don't know why time passed by so quickly either.

it's recess week now, which means that half a semester FLEW BY. really quickly. time is slipping out of my grasp i swear! :( this is bad. i've got tons of work to catch up on, and i feel terrible to Lorraine..

my whole recess week seems kind of burnt up already, which is super bad seriously i hate it.

but.. I CANNOT GIVE UP. push on!

#307 hectic week's over!

my week has been pretty hectic.. okay because i had a quiz and a presentation. even though i had quite alot of time to study, i still failed the quiz sigh. i think i am a really lousy student :( but after the presentation on friday, i felt liberated!!

went back to hall for a short but good nap and headed for tutorial, and back again for another nap. after the second nap though, my right eye was damn red and it wouldn't go away!! sigh. because of that, i didn't wear lenses to DnD! and for the whole night, people kept asking why my eyes were so red..

never mind that, actually. i shall get it checked out ASAP. many people are telling me to do that.

our DnD was at M Hotel, and it was scheduled to start at 7+ but due to very heavy traffic, the buses crawled like snails and most of us reached only at almost 830! the food at M hotel was pretty decent too, and sitting beside Bao Yi was so damn amusing as usual! (this whole week she hasn't been playing Neopets, because she has been in my room almost every night heh) we checked out the menu for the night and the food was really not bad. there were scallops, nice fish, nice noodles and decent dessert etc. i didn't bring my camera along (HUGE REGRET, but then again i wouldn't look decent in any photo at all due to my red eyes) so i can't post any food photos.

Alex was sabo-ed to go up on stage to do dumb stuff, but that helped him to accumulate good karma and he was the only person from our block to win something in the lucky draw! he won the top prize somemore!! polaroid camera!^^ so lucky right! but he doesn't really know how to use it at all haha so i'm contemplating buying it from him?

ANYWAY, THE MAIN POINT OF DND:

LI XUAN WON HALL PRINCESS WHOO! she also got best female dancer hehe. Greg got Mr Personality and Desmond got Mr Hot Bod^^

so proud of all of them, they put in their best and it was all so good! :)

after DnD, we headed back to hall together and slacked around. showered and headed up to the balcony at 2+, and Hall King was drunk up there. noisy drunk, most would say. after he left, we played circle of fire. (until now i'm still not sure what's it called) before we even started, my face was already burning and i felt so stupid for that. i only drank almost one cup before that, but my cheeks were flaming and my eyes already red (much before that) so i was told to play and derrick to drink for me whenever i needed heh. i think i turned red super fast because i drank on an empty stomach? 

Hall Prince came over also and he was damn kiddy when he's gone. kept the alcohol/whatever liquid he was told to drink in his mouth instead of swallowing and people had to keep telling him to swallow heh. damn cute really like a kid!

after all the alcohol at the balcony was gone, we went to kenn/bon's room and were supposed to play bridge. that didn't happen, and we ended up talking all the way.. i hogged a bolster and we were all lying everywhere, 4 people on a bed haha. went back to sleep at about.. 630? and woke up at 930! i don't know how i did it but i woke up without snoozing! cheryl, bon and rach went back at the time when i slept whoa i think they concussed all the way. bon is the extremely crazy one, he went straight to VJ to play basketball with his friends-.- 

on a side note, no more dim sum supper tonight BOOOO. bon's only free at TWO freaking AM later and no one is interested.. i want to eat dim sum so badly. shall plan a supper for next weekend and make sure that he's free.

#306 exhilaration.

that experience was beyond nerve wrecking, seriously.

Hall 10's 19th JCRC Elections for Social Secretary was the most exciting thing i've experienced so far! after the first box of polls, i thought that it was all gonna be over already because it was so clear. but halfway through the second box of polls, it was signaled to us that there was only a difference of.. 4 votes. from then on, the number fluctuated like crazy but within a small range and derrick said this at when we tied 'it'll be damn funny if it comes down to the last vote.'

then last 4 votes went down like this:

'social, abstain'

'social, abstain'

'benedict and alvina'

'now its time for the last vote'

YOU KIDDING ME?! we looked at each other and felt damn intense HAHA.

then we heard: 'lorraine and alvina'

seriously. ONE VOTE. down to the very last vote and it was for me! beyond happy but i knew that there would a recount of votes (duh, i would ask for that too) and it was yet another 15 minutes of nerves acting up.

but surprisingly, i really won by just ONE VOTE!! hahaha. 111 votes to 110 votes gosh.

really would like to express my gratitude to all who voted for me and who believe that i can do a good job! i will do my best and not let you all down (:

want to thank everyone who i campaigned with as well! i think we all really tried our best to whatever we can and it is an experience we can all be proud of.

and derrick too; i was running for this post with him and i feel happy because he was willing to step up to run with me when another girl decided not to run! we were feeling stressed together for the past week and i'm really glad that i have him to help me along the way!!

okay back to reality, i have to go and do my tutorial now!

#305 stressed.

feeling so stressed these few days! :(

hoping that everything will really die down after next wednesday and that i'll be able to sleep more in hall! so tired from all the late nights, and i haven't been doing much work at all. i'm so screwed. mid terms are coming  real soon i think, in 2 weeks??

i shall treat this as a learning experience and no matter what the outcome is, i will emerge stronger than ever! hope that you guys reading will support me! :)
